La Grande Consoude est une plante vivace qui peut atteindre 1,20m de hauteur. On la trouve en abondance au Nord de la Loire. Les feuilles sont épaisses et velues ; La base des poils particulièrement riche en calcium explique la résistance de cette plante au contact riche et rugueux.
